Teresa Bolen is thrilled to have the opportunity to share her expertise in Academic Success with you! Invited by the Japanese Government through the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program in 1993, Teresa worked for the Nara Prefectural Board of Education and was appointed as the Prefectural Advisor in addition to her other teaching duties. Now teaching at Todaiji Academy, one of the Top 3 Schools in Japan for junior and senior high school students, Teresa has been living in Japan for over 13 years.

She has used her vast experience in Academics, along with her in-depth knowledge of the mind’s powerful ability to learn and retain enormous amounts of information to devise a fool-proof strategy for Academic Success. For decades Teresa has been coaching friends and students to accomplish their goals and dreams – and they have!

As an Academic Coach and Mentor, Teresa is continually acquiring additional knowledge, information, and resources to help give her students every possible advantage to releasing their true genius abilities.

In addition to helping millions worldwide through her writing, coaching, and products, Teresa is a supporter of Save the Children and is actively involved with their programs in Egypt and Ethiopia. Her book Multiplication Finger Fun: Always Having the Answer Right at Your Fingertips, co-authored with her former student Michihiro Kawashima, has been translated into Amharic and Oromiffa (the national language of Ethiopia and a local dialect) and is in use at all of the Save the Children schools in Ethiopia.

Teresa has been a member of Nanto Gakuso, the traditional court music and dance group for Kasuga Grand Shrine playing the ryuteki (dragon flute) and komabue (another transverse flute). She also passed three of the six levels of Japanese Sign Language in her early years in Japan and is fluent in Japanese. She has spoken on live radio programs for NHK (Nihon Hoso Kyokai), in Japanese of course, broadcast in Kansai and nationwide. In her spare time she also enjoys arts and crafts, bead design, and learning Egyptian Arabic.
